Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it has formed a “Task Force (TF) for Stabilizing District Administration” to ensure systematic response for public stability amid the state of emergency and impeachment political turmoil.
On the 9th, the district held a policy meeting in the small conference room of the district office, emphasizing the concentration of administrative power and establishment of public service discipline to protect public stability during the impeachment political situation.
On this day, Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, created the “Task Force for Stabilizing District Administration” led by the Deputy Mayor and instructed to conduct a “Daily Situation Response Report” through situation checks by sector.
The Task Force for Stabilizing District Administration is organized into four response teams: Situation Management, Public Stability, Public Service Discipline, and Disaster Safety.
The main roles include maintaining cooperation systems with the government and Seoul City according to the political situation, monitoring local economic trends and managing support for small business owners, maintaining emergency contact systems for employees, establishing public service discipline, managing cold wave measures, and strengthening facility safety management.
For efficient operation, the task force will appoint a daily rotating situation coordinator led by a director within the organization to maintain an emergency standby system, ensuring immediate situation reporting and response.
Additionally, through the task force, the district plans to thoroughly manage and inspect resident safety, especially protecting vulnerable groups during the year-end and New Year period and preparing for cold waves.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “Even in this emergency situation, we will prioritize the stability of residents’ lives and carefully monitor public welfare without any gaps,” adding, “We will do our best in district administration to reduce residents’ inconveniences and provide stable administrative services.”
