President-elect of the United States Donald Trump stated that if someone invests 1 billion dollars (approximately 1.4352 trillion won) or more in the U.S., the approval process will be expedited.
On the 10th (local time), Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social, "Anyone or any company investing 1 billion dollars or more in the U.S. will receive fully expedited approvals," adding, "This includes all environmental permits but is by no means limited to the environmental sector."
During the election period, Trump repeatedly expressed his intention to eliminate unnecessary environmental regulations to develop the U.S.'s oil and gas resources. However, he did not disclose specific details.
