Pyeongtaek Agricultural Technology Center Wins Institutional Award at Smart Small-Scale Farmer Competition
The Agricultural Technology Center of Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do announced on the 10th that it received the institutional award in the 'Smart Small-Scale Farmers' category at the '2024 Smart Small-Scale Farmers Excellent Institution Competition' hosted by the Rural Development Administration.
The center has been running a small-scale farmer development project since 2011 and has nurtured 901 farmers up to last year. This year, it conducted ▲Smart Farmer Development (14 sessions, 120 participants) ▲Farmer Live Commerce Education (4 sessions, 60 participants) ▲SNS Marketing Education (3 sessions, 52 participants) ▲Farmer Smart Management Education (2 sessions, 21 participants), earning recognition for its outstanding achievements in fostering smart farmers.
The center plans to support farmers' management improvement and expand farm sales channels through smart farmer development and farm marketing education starting next year.
