Following the recommendation of Speaker Woo Won-sik, the ruling and opposition parties began final negotiations on the budget bill. Kim Sang-hoon, Policy Committee Chair of the People Power Party, and Jin Sung-jun, Policy Committee Chair of the Democratic Party, both canceled their scheduled budget-related briefings this afternoon and are currently discussing the increased budget proposal brought by the government. However, the Democratic Party maintained that their position to pass the budget bill at the plenary session scheduled for 2 p.m. that day has not changed.
