The People Power Party faced hardships because they tried to defend and protect a criminal. Therefore, the term 'impeachment trauma' is not accurate." He continued, "We do not call taking responsibility for wrongdoing trauma. No one considers a criminal’s imprisonment as trauma," and said, "Rather, thanks to the 2017 impeachment, the People Power Party was able to undergo a normalization process and regain trust."

Heo Ji-woong criticized, "The president, who said 'sorry for surprising you,' is calling it a solution that he exchanges power with the ruling party leader who was never elected by the citizens. Regardless, to my eyes, I see a reclusive loner who holds military command authority. There is no legal basis to suspend or transfer the president’s power without impeachment." He further criticized the People Power Party, saying, "This is too big a matter to reverse. The only issue left is how much more damaged the country will be domestically and internationally before real recovery begins. The complacent idea that we can just brush it off now and divide the citizens later will ultimately cause the party to disappear."
