It is recruiting a total of 102 households: 32 youth households, 64 newlyweds and single-parent households, and 6 housing-vulnerable households.
After the initial tenant recruitment announcement on December 9, 2024, applications will be accepted for five days from January 13 to 17 next year through on-site registration and online (Government24) submission.
Eligibility for applying to Yeongwol-gun Youth Housing includes youth aged 18 to 39 as of the announcement date, newlyweds, and others who either reside in Yeongwol-gun or can move in immediately upon tenancy. Applicants must be members of a household without homeownership and meet certain income and asset ownership criteria.
Yeongwol-gun will select tenants by May 16 next year after verifying applicants’ homeownership status and income and asset information, and plans to begin public rental housing occupancy from August 4.
The Yeongwol-gun Youth Housing, a campaign pledge of the 8th local government administration, reflects the latest housing trends with spacious layouts suitable for the younger generation, built-in furniture, and home network facilities. Convenience facilities such as a children's playground, rest areas, and electric vehicle charging stations will also be installed.
Choi Myeong-seo, Governor of Yeongwol-gun, stated, “We aim to promote housing stability by supplying affordable public rental housing, especially to attract and settle the younger generation,” and added, “We will comprehensively implement policies to respond to population decline and regional extinction.”
