Pocheon-si Agricultural Technology Center Conducts Staff Training to Respond to Changes in Agricultural Environment
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 6th that it operated the ‘Practical Education for Agricultural Instructors’ and ‘Field Competency Enhancement Training for Agricultural Counseling Center Staff’ to strengthen expertise in the agricultural field.

The ‘Practical Education for Agricultural Instructors’ is a training program designed to cultivate professional instructors who can guide farmers based on practical knowledge needed in the agricultural field, and it was conducted five times from November 4 to December 5.
Experts from various fields were invited to deepen practical knowledge such as lecture techniques, crop nutrition management, pesticide usage, trends in crop pest and disease occurrence due to climate change, and control methods.
The ‘Field Competency Enhancement Training for Agricultural Counseling Center Staff’ was planned to strengthen the practical skills of agricultural counseling center employees and to improve their professional counseling capabilities.
Yang Seong-i, head of the Northern Farming Team, and Gumi-yeon, head of the Gwanin-myeon Agricultural Counseling Center, served as instructors for the training, providing theoretical education on plant nutrition and the use of soil and fertilizers, as well as practical training with soil field diagnostic equipment. The focus was on improving practical skills and helping provide better counseling services to farmers.
