At the meeting, Deputy Mayor Kim Gwang-hoe stated, "To ensure that the regional demand for the preservation of regional hub airlines is accepted, Busan City, led by Mayor Park Hyung-joon, has continuously requested related agencies such as the Presidential Office, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the Korea Development Bank," adding, "From this point forward, it is important to listen to Korean Air's position and opinions based on the city's agreed stance."
The attendees urged Korean Air to ▲ preserve Air Busan (operate as an independent corporation) and ▲ locate the headquarters of the integrated low-cost carrier (LCC) in Busan, emphasizing the need for a prompt meeting between the Mayor of Busan and the Chairman of Korean Air.
Furthermore, they agreed that to preserve the regional hub airline, the local community should respond actively and with a unified voice to the government, Korea Development Bank, Korean Air, and others.
