View original imageChoi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Strategy and Finance, said on the 4th, "We will operate a 24-hour Economic and Financial Situation Monitoring Task Force (TF) to prevent any shocks to the real economy and activate a real-time monitoring system."
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Choi held a joint government briefing at the government complex in Jongno-gu, Seoul, stating, "We will do our best to resolve economic issues so that under no circumstances will our economy, corporate management activities, or the daily lives of the people be affected." He added, "To alleviate concerns about our economic situation, we will closely communicate and promptly share information with international credit rating agencies, major economic lines such as the United States, domestic economic organizations, and financial markets."
He continued, "At a time when domestic and international uncertainties are increasing, it is more important than ever for all economic actors, including the public, companies, and the government, to unite for the stable operation of our economy." He urged, "I ask that everyone continue their livelihoods and business activities in their respective areas so that investment, employment, and consumption can be maintained normally."
