Coast Guard Headquarters Calls Emergency Executive Meeting Regarding Martial Law Declaration
The Korea Coast Guard convened an emergency executive meeting regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law.
According to the Coast Guard on the 4th, Commissioner Kim Jong-wook issued an emergency meeting order at 11:15 p.m. the previous day to executives at the rank of superintendent or higher at the headquarters.
The targeted executives urgently moved to the headquarters building in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.
A Coast Guard official stated, "Specific policies related to nationwide vessel operations and fishing boat management after the martial law will likely be organized after the emergency meeting."
