Suwon City Prepares 'Emergency Transportation Measures' on the 5th in Response to Railway Strike
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has prepared emergency transportation measures in response to the nationwide railway workers' union's announcement of a general strike.
The National Railway Workers' Union had previously announced a general strike starting from the 5th. The strike routes among trains passing through Suwon include the Gyeongbu Line, Honam Line, Line 1, and Suin-Bundang Line (excluding the Shinbundang Line).

View original imageSuwon City has prepared emergency transportation measures such as increasing the number of metropolitan buses and concentrating dispatch on 43 city bus routes during peak commuting hours. Additionally, official letters encouraging taxi drivers to operate during the strike period were sent out.
First, nine metropolitan bus routes traveling to and from Seoul?routes 3007, 5100, 7000, 7001, 8800, 3000, 7770, 7780, and 7800?will each add one reserve bus (a total of 9 buses) to increase the number of trips. The 43 city bus routes will be concentratedly dispatched during peak commuting hours.
