Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it will hold a special event where visitors can enjoy the Seomjingang Starlight Sky zip wire and monorail at Mangdeok Port on the Seomjin River for just 10,000 KRW.
The city plans to hold the opening ceremony for the Gwangyang zip wire on the 10th and begin full operation from the 20th, with a special opening event period from the 11th to the 19th.

View original imageDuring the special event period, visitors can enjoy the Gwangyang zip wire at a 60% discount from the regular price of 25,000 KRW to 10,000 KRW, and only event participants will be offered free rides on the monorail (from the ticket booth to the departure point).
The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and during the special event period, monorail boarding will close on a first-come, first-served basis at 5:30 p.m. The event is open to all citizens nationwide who meet the weight requirement for riding (45?105 kg).
The soon-to-open Seomjingang Starlight Sky is an 898-meter zip wire connecting Mangdeoksan Mountain and Baealdo Waterfront Park, consisting of five lines: four descending lines and one retrieval line. A 12-passenger monorail operates to the departure point.
