View original imageOn the 2nd, Dangjin City in Chungcheongnam-do held an induction ceremony for national tennis team star Nam Ji Sung at the mayor's reception room in City Hall.
Nam Ji Sung, born in 1993, is a national tennis player currently ranked No. 1 in domestic doubles and No. 7 in men's singles.
With Nam Ji Sung joining the Dangjin City Hall tennis team, expectations are rising not only for the team's improved performance but also for their success in upcoming competitions.
In addition, ahead of the 2025 season, Dangjin City signed sponsorship agreements for clothing and sports equipment for two of its workplace sports teams (badminton and tennis).
Global sports brand Wilson became the first to sign a sponsorship agreement with a domestic professional team by partnering with the Dangjin City Hall tennis team.

View original imageThe Dangjin City Hall tennis team was established in 2014 and has contributed to the development of tennis in Korea, winning a gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games (Im Yong Kyu) and securing victory at the National Sports Festival.
On the 6th, the Dangjin City Hall badminton team is also set to sign a sponsorship agreement with Technist, a domestic sports brand specializing in badminton.
Technist currently sponsors top professional teams in Korea, including Samsung Life Insurance (men and women), Miryang City Hall, and Gimcheon City Hall.
The Dangjin City Hall badminton team, founded in 1990, has been part of the history of Korean badminton. This year, at the 105th National Sports Festival, the team won a gold medal in the mixed doubles (Dangjin City Hall's Kim Deok Young) and finished third overall in the team event.
A city official stated, "We are providing all possible support to improve the performance of Dangjin City Hall's professional teams," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make Dangjin City a leading city in sports."
