The city held a donation ceremony at the mayor's office in city hall on this day, attended by Mayor Lee Wanseop of Seosan and Park Daesung, CEO of SPAgriculture Co., Ltd., along with other related officials.
The donated funds were reportedly raised by SPAgriculture Co., Ltd. by not holding a completion ceremony for the smart farm greenhouse established in the Unsan-myeon area.
The donation will be delivered to local neighbors in need of warmth through the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.
Mayor Lee Wanseop expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank SPAgriculture Co., Ltd. for extending a helping hand so that our neighbors in need can have a warm winter."
CEO Park Daesung said, "I thought it would be more meaningful for the funds originally intended for the completion ceremony to be delivered to neighbors in need and to share warmth within the community, which is why we made this donation. We will continue to strive for the development and unity of Seosan City."
Meanwhile, SPAgriculture Co., Ltd. is a smart farm crop cultivation company located in Unsan-myeon, Seosan City, and plans to operate a 2-hectare smart farm greenhouse starting in 2025.
