The Mokpo National University Practical Problem Research Group sent four research teams selected through the university’s final performance presentation. The awards included one Grand Prize team (Department of Advanced Materials Engineering: Lim Ki-hyun and three others, supervised by Professor Lee Seong-hee), one Excellence Award team (Department of Advanced Materials Engineering: Go So-young and three others, supervised by Professor Lee Sang-jin), one Merit Award team (Department of Mechanical, Naval, and Ocean Engineering: Park Shin-woo and four others, supervised by Professor Song Chang-yong), and one Encouragement Award team (Department of Chemistry: Park Yong-woo and three others, supervised by Professor Kim Tae-woo).


The competition featured 36 research teams in four research fields selected in the first round from 170 practical problem research teams across nine universities nationwide. Since 2022, Mokpo National University has been successfully conducting the field-linked future-leading talent development support project as a consortium called the ‘East-West Convergence Smart Technology Practical Problem Research Group’ together with Pusan National University, Pukyong National University, and Kunsan National University.
