Ulju-gun Expands Interest Support for Newlywed Couples' Home Purchase and Jeonse Loan Funds
Expansion of Residential Property Value Limit from 500 Million to 600 Million Won
Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 3rd that it will expand its interest support for newlywed couples' housing purchase and jeonse loan, a policy to encourage marriage and childbirth.
The "Ulju-gun Newlywed Couples Housing Purchase and Jeonse Loan Interest Support Project" has been implemented since 2020 to reduce the initial economic burden of newlywed couples in the region and help stabilize their housing.
Ulju-gun plans to expand interest support from houses valued at 500 million KRW or less to houses valued at 600 million KRW or less by newly reflecting the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's collateral housing evaluation standards. The residential area remains the same at 85㎡ or less.
Applicants must be newlywed couples who have registered their marriage within 2 years or engaged couples who plan to register their marriage within 6 months and reside in Ulju-gun. Interest on loans up to 2% will be supported up to 4 million KRW per year for a maximum of 4 years.
The application criteria require both spouses to be homeowners and have a combined annual income of 100 million KRW or less. The loan amount is capped at 200 million KRW, with interest support of up to 4 million KRW annually for up to 4 years.
An Ulju-gun official said, "We hope that the expansion of the loan interest support project will help newlywed couples settle stably in Ulju-gun," adding, "We will continue to promote various projects to create a happy Ulju where people marry, have children, and live well."

Through the newlywed couples housing purchase and jeonse loan interest support project, Ulju-gun has supported a total of 2,448 households with approximately 5.84 billion KRW, including △416 households with about 910 million KRW in 2021 △597 households with about 1.56 billion KRW in 2022 △660 households with about 1.75 billion KRW last year △775 households with about 1.6 billion KRW as of November this year.
