Seoul Jung-gu to Host 'Chungmuro 1946 Movie Night Restaurant' Festival on 5th-6th
The ‘Chungmuro 1946 Movie Night Restaurant’ festival will be held on the 5th and 6th at Chungmuro Printing Culture Street in Jung-gu, Seoul. The festival will be organized by the Chungmuro Alley Shopping District Merchants Association and will take place from 5 PM to 9 PM.
On the first day of the festival, a nighttime food event will be held with an outdoor food zone set up, offering a variety of menus at affordable prices. On the second day, the festival will capture the unique atmosphere of Chungmuro, which has long been the center of Korean cinema and the printing industry, through printing culture experiences and street movie screenings.
Various programs will be held throughout the streets, including a Christmas postcard exhibition in collaboration with Chungmuro printing companies, year-end card message writing, a creative movie poster exhibition, and modern and contemporary printing culture experiences. Additionally, the Chungmuro alleys will be transformed into an outdoor cinema where visitors can enjoy nostalgic films.
After watching the movies, if you feel a bit hungry, you can enjoy a variety of food trucks and outdoor food offerings from the shopping district. Specially discounted menus and unique street foods will satisfy the tastes of the audience.
The festival stage will feature various performances, including electronic violin concerts, busking performances with movie music, and a singing contest segment called ‘Movie Karaoke VS’.
