Donghwa Enterprise Receives Minister of Environment Award at the '2024 Korea Healthy Housing Awards'
Recognition of Eco-friendliness of Building Materials for Indoor Air Quality Improvement and Reduction of Harmful Substances
Donghwa Enterprise announced on the 2nd that it received the Minister of Environment Award at the '2024 Korea Healthy Housing Awards.'
The Korea Healthy Housing Awards annually recognize outstanding companies leading the creation of healthy residential environments by improving indoor air quality and reducing harmful substances. This year marks the 22nd Korea Healthy Housing Awards, hosted by the Korea Environmental Information Research Center and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Korea Environment Corporation, and Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.
Donghwa Enterprise received the Minister of Environment Award in recognition of the eco-friendliness of its building materials. All wood flooring products use eco-friendly materials with formaldehyde emissions of 0.5 mg/ℓ or less. The construction adhesive reduces radon gas, a carcinogen, and is also effective in blocking mold and improving atopic dermatitis. Additionally, the structural particle board is a wood construction material coated with eco-friendly adhesive on recycled wood, recognized as a carbon storage resource for national greenhouse gas reduction.
