Innocean Wins Four Grand Prizes at the '2024 Korea Advertising Awards'... "Most Awards"
Among Domestic Advertising Companies, Most Grand Prize Wins
Received a Total of 14 Main Awards Including 6 Golds
Innocean announced on the 2nd that it won four grand prizes at the ‘2024 Korea Advertising Awards,’ setting a record for the most grand prizes won by a domestic advertising company.
The Korea Advertising Awards, hosted by the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations, is the most prestigious advertising festival in Korea. This year marks its 31st edition, with approximately 2,000 works submitted annually.
The works by Innocean that received the grand prize include ▲Hyundai Motor Company’s 'Night Fishing' campaign ▲KCC Construction Switzen’s 'Revival of the Family' campaign ▲Trip.com’s 'Now is the Time, Now!' campaign. The 'Night Fishing' campaign, co-planned and produced with Hyundai Motor Company, won grand prizes in two categories: Film Craft and PR.
This campaign is a short film starring actor Son Seok-gu and Hyundai’s Ioniq 5, featuring a mysterious incident and a plot twist set against the backdrop of an electric vehicle charging station. It is a humanism thriller with a runtime of about 13 minutes including the end credits. It underwent formal review by the Video Rating Board and was officially released in theaters.
This work was highly praised for its innovative filming technique from the perspective of the car and its interesting theme where the car drives the story, effectively conveying Hyundai Motor’s brand innovation. In addition to the two grand prizes, it also won a gold prize in the Branded Content & Entertainment category.
KCC Construction Switzen’s 'Revival of the Family' won the grand prize in the TV category. It focused on the essential meaning and value of a home, effectively delivering a message about the preciousness of sharing a meal with family. It was praised for realistically portraying common kitchen scenes and cooking mishaps, which resonated with viewers. It also won a gold prize in the online video category.
Trip.com’s 'Now is the Time, Now!' campaign won the grand prize in the Creative Strategy category. Although the campaign was produced five years ago, it was not aired due to the sudden COVID-19 pandemic. Through a ‘reverse thinking’ approach, the previously unaired advertisement was reborn as a new ad. The experience of the brand’s unexpected ad blackout was combined with the message ‘Don’t hesitate to travel; go when you can,’ earning high marks.
