Goyang City Wins Excellence Award at Local Government Officials Policy Research Presentation Contest
'Study on Voluntary Disposal Policy for Abandoned Vehicles' Praised
Expected to Bring Practical Changes to Citizens' Lives

View original imageAt the contest held on the 28th of last month at the Local Government Officials Training Institute in Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk Province, Kim Jin-seol’s presentation titled "The Impact of Providing Information on Deregistration of Vehicles Exceeding Their Age Limit on the Voluntary Disposal of Abandoned Vehicles" received high praise from the judges for its research achievements and feasibility.
Based on the case of Goyang City, Deputy Head Kim specifically explained the research background, data analysis, and policy effects, gaining positive responses from both the judges and the audience.
In particular, the study was highly acclaimed for its rigorous methodology and practical administrative innovation measures. The contest’s chief judge commented, "This research was a meaningful topic with the potential to bring about real changes in citizens’ lives. The presenter’s effort and passion were evident in the meticulousness and thoroughness of the research methods."
Receiving the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award, Deputy Head Kim said, "I feel a great sense of accomplishment in being able to propose concrete and feasible improvement plans through customized policy research using field data to solve the problem of abandoned vehicles in Goyang City." He added, "I will continue to do my best in policy research that can bring about tangible changes in the daily lives of citizens."
Meanwhile, a total of seven outstanding cases were presented nationwide at this contest, and the research by Goyang City’s Vehicle Registration Division was selected as the final second place after public and expert evaluations.
