Support for 'University Department Experience Program' Utilizing University Human and Material Resources
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) announced on the 29th that it has signed a four-party business agreement with the Seoul Eastern Education Support Office (Superintendent Seokju Hong), Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (President Jungwoon Park), and Korea University Health Science Research Institute (Director Sungwook Kim) to establish the foundation for the high school credit system in 2025.
This agreement was made to share the university's infrastructure and specialized learning know-how with the local community, supporting students to have various learning and experiential opportunities beyond the school curriculum.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲support for university department experience programs (administration and budget) ▲operation and participation guidance for projects linked to the high school credit system ▲development, operation, and space support for university experience programs ▲and cooperative projects to improve the academic achievement of Dongdaemun-gu students.
The district is currently discussing various ways with the Eastern Education Support Office to link the 'university department experience program' with the high school credit system and creative experiential activities.
