The Korea Capital Market Institute Appoints Professor Kim Sewan of Ewha Womans University as New President

The Korea Capital Market Institute (KCMI) held a general meeting of members and announced on the 29th that Professor Kim Sewan of Ewha Womans University has been appointed as the new president.
The KCMI Nomination Committee had closed the application process in September after accepting documents, but suddenly canceled it and restarted the application process from scratch on November 1. Professor Kim was the nominee recommended after the new application process conducted by the KCMI Nomination Committee.
President Kim was born in 1966 and graduated from Yonsei University. After earning a Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University, he served as a professor at California State University and has been a professor in the Department of Economics at Ewha Womans University since 2004.
