LS Materials announced on the 29th that it held the first shipment ceremony for its new product 'LS UltraGrid' at its partner company Intec FA in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, aimed at power stabilization.

View original imageUltraGrid is a rack-type ultracapacitor (UC) system capable of reliably supplying megawatt (MW)-level power. It is expected to be supplied domestically and internationally to stabilize power for renewable energy facilities such as wind and solar power generation. This product is attracting attention as a core technology that can solve power instability issues caused by output fluctuations by supplying MW-level power within 0.1 seconds.
According to the industry, the adoption of rack-type UC systems is accelerating mainly in Europe, including Germany. The global market is projected to grow to 100 billion KRW by 2026 and over 500 billion KRW by 2030.
