Dongkuk Steel 4th Generation Jang Sun-ik Expands Role... Oversees Steelmaking and CM Purchasing
Promotion of Choi Sam-young of Dongkuk Steel and Park Sang-hoon of Dongkuk CM to President
Jang Seon-ik, Executive Director and eldest son of Jang Se-ju, Chairman of Dongkuk Steel Group, is expanding his role as the '4th generation owner' by simultaneously overseeing the purchasing departments of Dongkuk Steel, a core affiliate of the group, and Dongkuk CM.
On the 29th, Dongkuk Steel Group announced a regular executive personnel reshuffle involving a total of 16 people, including 6 promotions and 10 new appointments.
Dongkuk CM established a new purchasing department and appointed Executive Director Jang to lead it. With this personnel change, Executive Director Jang will lead the purchasing departments of both Dongkuk Steel and Dongkuk CM simultaneously. He is expected to play a key role in applying the extensive experience he gained over about two years as head of Dongkuk Steel’s purchasing department to Dongkuk CM, thereby enhancing raw material purchasing efficiency and maximizing synergy between the two companies.
Additionally, Choi Sam-young, Vice President and CEO of Dongkuk Steel, and Park Sang-hoon, Vice President and CEO of Dongkuk CM, were each promoted to President, further solidifying their leadership. Executive Director Lee Hyun-sik, who is leading the PMI for Ajou Steel, was promoted to President, strengthening efforts for the acquisition of Ajou Steel.
Furthermore, Dongkuk Steel will establish a marketing department to respond swiftly to market changes and strengthen customer-centric strategies.
