Yoon Jang-hyun Appointed as New CEO of Samsung Venture Investment
Samsung Venture Investment announced on the 29th that it has appointed Yoon Jang-hyun, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Mobile Experience (MX) Division, as the new CEO and Vice President.

View original imageBorn in 1968, the new CEO Yoon graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) and earned a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States. He joined Samsung Electronics in 2003 as a senior researcher at the Wireless Business Division Software Lab. He has held positions such as leader of the Tizen Development Team, Internet of Things (IoT) Service Team Leader, and Software Platform Team Leader in the Wireless Business Division, and since February, he has been overseeing mobile product software development at Samsung Electronics MX Division.
A Samsung Venture Investment official stated, "We expect the new CEO Yoon to continuously grow Samsung Venture Investment into the world's leading corporate venture capital (CVC) based on his technical expertise in the IT field and extensive network."
