AFS, Otitone Medical, and Illaas AI Win Awards
Products to Be Showcased at CES Innovation Awards Pavilion from January 7 to 10, 2025
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that three companies located in G-Valley, Geumcheon-gu, participating in the world’s largest information technology (IT) exhibition, the ‘International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025,’ held in Las Vegas, USA from January 7 to 10, 2025, have won the ‘CES Innovation Award.’
The ‘CES Innovation Award’ is given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer of the exhibition, to products recognized for their world-leading technology and innovation, and is called the ‘highest honor of CES.’ The award-winning companies are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of technology, design, and customer value.
AFS Co., Ltd. and ILias AI Co., Ltd. won the ‘CES Innovation Award’ in the Artificial Intelligence category, while Otiton Medical Co., Ltd. received the award in the Mobile Devices, Accessories & Apps category. The award-winning products will be exhibited in the dedicated Innovation Award pavilion.
ILias AI, a digital olfactory data specialist company, was recognized by the CTA for developing the ‘Digital Drug Detection Dog,’ a drug detection robot equipped with olfactory recognition AI using scanner-based deep learning.
Otitone Medical, a company with home medical devices and healthcare platforms, received the CES Innovation Award for its smart thermometer. AFS, a hair treatment startup, was recognized for its technology by developing ‘AFS 3D,’ which can accurately diagnose hair loss conditions.
Otitone Medical’s smart thermometer and tonsillitis camera will be exhibited at the Geumcheon-gu G-Valley pavilion within the CES Seoul Integrated Pavilion. Geumcheon-gu plans to support the participation of 10 local companies in CES by establishing the G-Valley pavilion in the startup exhibition hall, which requires CTA approval for entry.
The district collaborates with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) G-Valley Activation Team to support local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing difficulties in exploring overseas markets by facilitating group participation in overseas exhibitions. They provide comprehensive support, including financial aid, pre-consulting, and performance management from exhibition participation to contract signing.
Additionally, to support companies’ overseas expansion, the district held the G-Valley Overseas Market Development Seminar on September 5. The seminar shared experiences and expertise through lectures by overseas customers (buyers) and provided guidance on overseas market development methods using big data and generative AI smart platforms.
A district official stated, “Winning the CES Innovation Award is the fruit of the district’s support and the companies’ efforts, holding great significance for Geumcheon-gu and the award-winning companies. We expect it to be an important opportunity to showcase the achievements of Geumcheon-gu companies through CES, which is globally recognized.”
