After the first round of expert document screening and the second round of nationwide online and expert face-to-face evaluations, a total of 23 excellent projects were selected nationwide.
Paju City formed a citizen policy design group consisting of nine citizens from Geumchon 1-dong, where the proportion of single-person households is high, service designers, city officials, and crime prevention officers (CPO) from the Paju Police Station. From July to October, through nine sessions involving education, local exploration, interviews with single-person household residents, and identification of key issues, they developed the public service design project ‘Moduui Sunchaldae’.
‘Moduui Sunchaldae’ is a policy model that strengthens the community safety net and enhances bonds among residents by having local residents, including pet owners and seniors, take the lead in patrol activities. It was highly evaluated for its focus on building a social safety net that induces social activities among single-person households and alleviates emotional isolation.
