The MOU signing ceremony was held on the occasion of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim's visit to Korea. The event was attended by key figures from both countries, including Jeong In-gyo, Director-General for Trade Negotiations at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Kwon Ki-chang, Executive Vice President of the Korea Importers Association, Tunku Zafrul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia, and Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, President of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
President Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz said, "We hope this agreement will strengthen the network between Korean and Malaysian companies and lead to closer economic cooperation."
