Since its launch in 2016, the ‘Aging Indoor Pipe Improvement Support Project’ has supported 2,836 households with a project budget of 1.276 billion KRW, and this year, it invested a budget of 76 million KRW to support 97 households. Next year, a budget of 70 million KRW will be invested for support, and applications will be accepted starting from January 6, 2025.
The support targets are single-family houses, multi-family houses, and apartment buildings that are residential buildings with an area of 130㎡ or less and have aged more than 20 years. Houses that have received support for improvement within the last 5 years or have been approved for redevelopment, reconstruction, or remodeling projects are excluded from support.
The support scale ranges from 30% to 90% of the total construction cost depending on the area, with a maximum support amount of 1.8 million KRW for indoor water supply pipes and 600,000 KRW for shared pipes. The maximum amount is provided to houses owned by basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups who are economically disadvantaged.
