Yeongju City Demolishes and Rebuilds Two Aging Administrative Welfare Centers to Enhance Resident Convenience
Dansan-myeon and Hyucheon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Centers New Construction... Temporary Office Minimizes Inconvenience
Scheduled for Completion by End of Next Year... Providing Improved Administrative Services and Cultural Spaces
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk has begun full-scale demolition work for the reconstruction of Dansan-myeon Administrative Welfare Center and Hucheon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
The newly constructed Dansan-myeon Administrative Welfare Center will be a one-story building with a total floor area of 998㎡, while the Hucheon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center will be a three-story building with a total floor area of 994㎡.
The total project costs are 6.9 billion KRW and 5.7 billion KRW respectively, and the centers will include various spaces such as civil service offices, community program rooms, and multipurpose rooms to provide improved administrative services and cultural spaces for residents.
Both administrative welfare centers, built in the 1980s, have been used for over 40 years, causing inconvenience to residents due to building aging and limited space. Accordingly, the city established a reconstruction plan, completed the design in May, and decided to demolish the existing buildings and rebuild.
Currently, all preliminary administrative procedures and reviews for demolition have been completed, and the city is about to select a construction company. Temporary offices will be set up in each area during the demolition and reconstruction to minimize inconvenience to residents.
The city plans to start the reconstruction work early next year as soon as the demolition is completed, aiming to complete the project by the end of the year.
