The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 25th that it plans to operate a graduation commemorative horticulture program at dementia patient rest centers in the three zones of Sutaek, Galmae, and Inchang, starting from the 27th.

View original imageThis horticulture program will be conducted by professional personnel who completed the 'Dementia Prevention Horticultural Therapy Specialist Training Course' last August and are challenging new jobs. They will engage in bouquet-making activities with 33 graduates of the Memory Tree Shelter to commemorate their graduation.
The city expects that through horticultural therapy activities, participants will not only enhance their satisfaction and sense of accomplishment but also develop social, psychological, and physical adaptability, contributing to the physical rehabilitation and mental health recovery of elderly dementia patients.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, "I hope the enjoyable horticulture program will help the elderly improve their health and regain vitality," adding, "We will continue to do our best to develop enjoyable and meaningful programs that satisfy the elderly."
