SME R&D Outstanding Achievements Gathered in One Place... Performance Expansion Win-Win Week Held
'SME R&D Performance Expansion Win-Win Week' from 25th to 27th
Research and development (R&D) achievements of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can be experienced all in one place.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will hold the "2024 SME R&D Performance Expansion Win-Win Week (hereinafter referred to as Performance Expansion Win-Win Week)" event for three days from the 25th to the 27th at the aT Center in Seoul.
This event was planned for the second time following last year to discover SMEs that have produced excellent results through R&D and to expand those achievements.
On the first day, at the "SME R&D Excellent Performance Sharing Meeting," Kim Woo-soon, Director of Technology Innovation Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, will attend and present the Minister’s Award to companies selected as the "Top 50 Excellent Performances" in the fields of ▲Commercialization (30 companies) ▲Strategic Technology (10 companies) ▲Limit & Re-challenge (5 companies) ▲Public Innovation (5 companies), as well as to individuals and companies recognized for the Purchase-Conditioned New Product Development Project.
In addition to the product exhibition of the "Top 50 Excellent Performances" selected companies, a business agreement ceremony between the SME R&D dedicated banks, Industrial Bank of Korea and Hana Bank, and investment beneficiary companies, an investment briefing session, and an Amazon entry briefing session to help SMEs explore overseas markets will be held simultaneously.
On the second day of the Performance Expansion Win-Win Week, the "SME Technology Market Public Institution-Innovation Procurement Company Matching Day" is scheduled. This program supports excellent innovative products developed through the Ministry’s R&D to secure initial sales channels by entering the public market. It will be attended by 33 public institutions and 120 innovation procurement companies, including designated innovative product companies.
One-on-one purchase consultations between public institution purchasing officers and SMEs will take place, and a pitching program where companies present the performance and ripple effects of their innovative products to public institutions will be conducted. Additionally, product exhibition booths of 46 innovation procurement companies will be set up and operated from the second to the third day of the event.
On the final day, the "Win-Win Technology Cooperation Fair" will be held to activate technology cooperation between large and small-medium enterprises through the Purchase-Conditioned New Product Development Project and to share and expand achievements.
At the Win-Win Technology Cooperation Fair, a program highlighting the necessity of cooperative R&D will be conducted through case presentations of SMEs and investment companies that have achieved excellent results through project participation. Subsequently, 43 large enterprises, mid-sized companies, and public institutions will be pre-matched with 100 SMEs to form new cooperative partnerships, facilitating cooperative R&D exploration, discovery of new partners, and purchase consultations for SME-developed technology products.
