Explosion at Kimhae Used Battery Disposal Company... Two Outsourced Workers Seriously Injured
At around 11:11 a.m. on the 23rd, a fire broke out due to an explosion at a waste battery disposal company in Anha-ri, Hallim-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the police and fire authorities, the explosion is believed to have occurred during the repair work on an oil tank inside the factory.
As a result of the accident, two subcontractor employees who were performing the repair work and one factory official were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.
Among them, the two subcontractor employees are reported to be seriously injured.

The fire was extinguished at around 11:51 a.m., 40 minutes after it started. The police and fire authorities are investigating the detailed circumstances of the accident.
