Gwangyang City, Recruiting '2025 Foreign Language SNS Reporters'

Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong In-hwa) announced on the 22nd that it is publicly recruiting the ‘2025 Gwangyang City Foreign Language SNS Reporters.’
The Gwangyang City Foreign Language SNS Reporters will carry out activities to promote Gwangyang City. Throughout the next year, the reporters will cover advanced city administration, various news, culture and arts, tourism, and festivals in Gwangyang on-site, write blog articles in foreign languages, and post at least one article per month on their respective SNS platforms. A fixed manuscript fee will be paid for the posts.

View original imageThe recruitment period is until the 12th of next month, and the number of recruits is 10 in total: 2 for English, 2 for Chinese, 1 for Japanese, and 5 for other languages. Other languages are not limited by language group and can include Spanish, Russian, German, Vietnamese, Indonesian, or any other language.
The recruitment results will be individually notified by the 17th of next month, and the reporter appointment ceremony will be held on December 27th at the Mayor’s Reception Room in Gwangyang City Hall.

Meanwhile, Gwangyang City started operating the Foreign Language SNS Reporters in 2021. So far, 38 reporters in 10 languages (English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino, Swahili) have posted about 450 foreign language articles, promoting the city overseas.
