Expecting Administrative Innovation Through AI Training Involving All Employees
Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 22nd that it successfully completed the ‘AI-based Digital Competency Enhancement Training’ for all employees at the Yeoju Library Yeogang Hall from the 19th to the 20th. This training was organized to strengthen the digital administrative capabilities of Yeoju City employees and to improve their ability to utilize AI technology.

View original imageThe training was conducted over a total of four sessions, each lasting two hours, covering AI trends, the latest developments, and the use of large language models (LLM). A total of 797 participants showed great interest in the training.
In particular, during this training, Yeoju City unveiled the ‘AI-based Integrity Guideline Chatbot’ developed using ChatGPT, emphasizing its commitment to spreading a culture of integrity. Officials from the Information and Communication Department took the stage and led the slogan “Integrity with AI,” eliciting strong responses from the employees. The chatbot provides Yeoju City officials with simple and prompt access to integrity guidelines, supporting transparent administrative work.
As a result of the training, on the first day, the morning and afternoon sessions were attended by 215 and 243 people respectively, and on the 20th, 179 attended in the morning and 160 in the afternoon, totaling 797 participants who completed the course. This has significantly enhanced the digital competencies of all Yeoju City employees, which is expected to improve the efficiency of administrative tasks and public services.
Based on the success of this training, Yeoju City plans to continuously operate practical AI training programs and to concretize ways to utilize AI technology in administration through the ‘Yeoju City AI Administration Master’ (an administrative research group using AI) in each department.
The mayor of Yeoju stated, “Through this training, the AI-related digital competencies of our employees have been elevated to a new level,” and added, “We will do our best to innovate administrative services using AI technology.”
