Export-Import Bank and Team Naver Join Hands for K-ICT Global Expansion
The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 22nd that it has signed a 'Mutual Cooperation MOU to Strengthen Global Expansion Competitiveness' with Naver and Naver Cloud.
According to the bank, President Yoon Hee-sung met the day before at Naver's headquarters in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, with Chae Seon-ju, Head of Naver External & ESG Policy, Kim Yoo-won, CEO of Naver Cloud, and Seok Sang-ok, CEO of Naver Labs, to sign the agreement.
This business agreement was established to enhance the global expansion competitiveness of advanced industries by linking the Export-Import Bank of Korea's financial support capabilities with Team Naver's ICT capabilities. The main contents include ▲exchange of information and joint discovery of projects for overseas ICT infrastructure and smart city development ▲financial support from the bank for overseas projects promoted by Team Naver.
Through this agreement, the bank explained that it is expected to create leading overseas expansion cases based on cooperation between the two companies in K-ICT projects such as the Saudi Arabia 'Digital Twin Project' won by Naver. The Digital Twin project refers to technology that replicates the real world in a digital virtual environment.
After signing the agreement, President Yoon said, "With this agreement, we have laid the foundation for Team Naver's overseas business expansion and the diversification of the bank's future industry portfolio, and we also expect synergy from the convergence of the construction and IT industries." He added, "The bank will actively support the global expansion of 'K-ICT' projects promoted by our companies by utilizing various financial instruments."
