Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was convicted in a case where he was indicted for violating the Public Official Election Act, drawing attention as former President Moon Jae-in’s peaceful daily life was revealed. On the 20th, Pyeongsan Bookstore, operated by former President Moon, posted photos on social media (SNS) showing him playing with cats inside the bookstore. In the photos, former President Moon was seen expressing affection by lightly kissing a cat standing on a book or reaching out his hand. The bookstore introduced the cats’ names as 'Manbok-i' and 'Dabok-i,' describing them as "lovable and gentle."

As democracy develops and the consciousness and social framework of our people are established, it is essential to strengthen transparency and prevent illegal activities through amendments."
Last year in February, when the prosecution applied for an arrest warrant against Lee, sparking judicial risks, former President Moon posted photos of himself hiking or planting potatoes in a field, which drew criticism from Lee’s supporters accusing him of idleness. At that time, one of Lee’s supporters criticized on a community forum, saying, "If you cannot criticize the prosecutorial dictatorship of the Yoon Seok-youl administration, can you at least post a leisurely message just once today?"
On the 1st, former lawmaker Kim Nam-guk, a pro-Lee Jae-myung faction member, also criticized on SNS, saying, "Former President Moon, who bears the original sin of bringing about the Yoon Seok-youl administration, angers party members and the public by leisurely enjoying himself without reflection or fierce struggle."

However, it is known that former President Moon and Lee reached a consensus on the prosecution’s investigation during a meeting at Pyeongsan Village last September. At the meeting, Lee described the prosecution’s investigation into Moon’s family as "political oppression that is incomprehensible both politically and legally," and former President Moon responded, "It is something my family and I must bear, but I am grateful to the party."
