Successful Hosting of Changwon Farmers' Unity Festival ... Together in Agriculture! Together for the Future!
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the 9th Changwon Farmers' Unity Festival on the 19th at Neulpureunjeondang.
This event, commemorating Farmers' Day, was first held in 2014 and marked its 9th edition this year. It was organized to promote communication, harmony, and exchange of achievements among members of farmers' learning groups.
The event was co-hosted by four organizations: the Changwon City Federation of Rural Leaders, the Life Improvement Association, the Korea 4-H Changwon Special City Headquarters, and the Changwon City 4-H Federation.
Under the theme "Together in Rural Areas! Together for the Future!", the festival was attended by about 500 members and officials of farmers' organizations. It began with a pungmul performance showcasing the skills honed by Life Improvement Association members over the year, followed by awards for distinguished farmers, congratulatory speeches, a special lecture by a star instructor, and an exhibition of achievements, which received great enthusiasm from attendees.
Seok Seung-cheol, president of the Changwon City 4-H Federation, said, "I thank everyone who attended the Changwon Farmers' Unity Festival. Despite difficult conditions such as abnormal weather and frequent disasters, it was a meaningful time to strengthen unity among farmers and exchange agricultural technology information."
