Survey suspension also ordered
On the 18th, Lee Hyun-jae, Mayor of Hanam City, received a report on the plan to relocate the Comprehensive Sports Complex (draft) during the Monday current issues meeting and instructed a more thorough review of the matter.
Mayor Lee stated, "Although this survey is at the initial stage of the project to establish direction, citizens have raised complaints that the questions seem as if they are intended to produce a predetermined result regarding the relocation," and emphasized to the relevant departments the need to strengthen communication along with sufficient collection of citizens' opinions.
Accordingly, the city plans to reconsider the future course of action, including the survey, through sufficient opinion gathering such as related task forces and resident meetings by district.
