Creating a Sharing Forest at Jangseong Public Senior Specialized Nursing Hospital
Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 18th that it has been selected for the ‘2025 Green Fund Public Contest Project’ organized by the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, securing 200 million KRW in national funding.
The Green Fund Public Contest Project is aimed at creating green spaces for residents in socially and economically vulnerable situations, including the establishment of indoor and outdoor forest environments and barrier-free sharing paths.
The county plans to create a 1,560㎡ sharing forest entirely funded by the national government around the Jangseong Public Senior Specialized Nursing Hospital. The fund comes from lottery proceeds under the ‘Lottery and Lottery Fund Act.’
The project is expected to be completed next year, providing residents and visitors using the hospital with a place for rest and recovery.
