Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 18th that it conducted human rights education for about 180 workers at welfare facilities for the disabled at the Pocheon Business Center from the 14th to the 15th.

View original imageThis education was conducted by inviting a human rights expert lecturer specializing in the rights of the disabled to raise awareness of human rights among workers at welfare facilities for the disabled and to provide better welfare services. The program focused on the importance of human rights, related laws, and practical cases.
A participant in the education said, “I was reminded once again that protecting the rights of the disabled is the most important mission,” and added, “Through this education, I will raise my awareness of human rights and provide better welfare services.”
A Pocheon city official said, “We hope this education will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of workers at welfare facilities for the disabled to respect and protect the rights of the disabled,” and added, “We will do our best to make welfare facilities for the disabled safer and happier spaces through continuous human rights education and training.”
