Gyeonggi-do "Separate Agricultural Waste for Disposal and Receive Compensation"
Gyeonggi Province will conduct a focused collection of agricultural waste until the 13th of next month.
On the 17th, Gyeonggi Province announced plans to intensively collect agricultural waste left unattended in rural farmland to prevent illegal burning and soil contamination, and to promote the recycling of agricultural waste.
Agricultural waste must be separated and sorted according to its recyclability before disposal. Additionally, if farmers bring recyclable rural waste vinyl and pesticide containers to community collection centers installed in villages, a collection reward system is in place: for waste vinyl, 80 to 160 KRW per kilogram depending on the amount of foreign substances, and for pesticide containers, 100 KRW per bottle and 80 KRW per pouch.

Gyeonggi Province operates the focused collection period for agricultural waste twice a year, dividing it into the first half of the year (February to April) and the second half (November to December), which correspond to the farming seasons.
