Introduction to Smart City Technology Applications: Digital Twin, AI CCTV, and Citizen-Centered Living Lab Operation Cases
On the 15th, officials from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and its member countries visited the Goyang Smart City Support Center operated by the Goyang Industry Promotion Agency (Director Han Dong-gyun) to benchmark Goyang City's advanced smart city technologies.

To benchmark Goyang City's smart technologies, LX Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX) and the Goyang Citizen Safety Center introduced smart city technologies and discussed cooperation plans together with the Promotion Agency for the visiting ADB officials.
LX, the Citizen Safety Center, and the Promotion Agency each presented ▲ the digital twin platform applied in Goyang Special City ▲ the AI-based intelligent CCTV integrated control system ▲ demonstration cases through citizen-participatory living labs ▲ and the plan to establish a hub-type smart city in Goyang Special City.
ADB officials showed great interest in Goyang Special City's smart city technology capabilities and innovative approaches. In particular, regarding the living lab being citizen-centered and its practical applications, they stated, “Goyang City's smart city model can become a best practice applicable to other cities,” expressing expectations for future cooperation possibilities.
Director Han Dong-gyun stated, “We will continue to strengthen the leading role of smart city technologies together with Goyang City and related organizations, and expand various international cooperation and exchanges to build a globally innovative urban model.”

Meanwhile, Goyang Special City was selected last year for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s ‘Hub-type Smart City Development Project’ and is promoting the project until 2025 together with the Goyang Industry Promotion Agency, LX Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, Kakao Enterprise Co., Ltd., Jinwoo ATS Co., Ltd., BF Labs Co., Ltd., Gloi&CC Co., Ltd., Lappis Co., Ltd., and Donghae General Engineering Corporation.
