View original imageThis year, Yeongdeok-gun's public grain stockpiling purchase volume has increased by 24% compared to the previous year to approximately 4,042 tons (101,059 bags/40kg), due to additional allocations for incentive volumes from reduced rice cultivation areas and market isolation grain volumes. Among this, 1,634 tons (40,862 bags/40kg) of paddy rice have already been purchased.
The purchase price for this year's public grain stockpiling rice will be determined by converting the nationwide average farm-gate rice price from October to December into rough rice prices. An advance payment of 40,000 KRW per 40kg bag will be made immediately after purchase, with final settlement paid by the end of December this year.
The purchased varieties are Anpyeong and Samgwang. Farmers found to have more than 20% contamination of other varieties in collected samples will be excluded from public grain stockpiling purchases for the next five years.
