The ‘Premium City Resident Participation Group designed with residents (hereinafter Resident Participation Group)’ was first launched in 2022 to encourage residents' interest and participation from the process of establishing the '2040 Gwanak-gu Comprehensive Urban Management Plan.'
The Resident Participation Group consists of 107 members, including residents and workers at businesses located in Gwanak-gu. Based on their living experiences in Gwanak-gu, the members express various opinions and build consensus on the direction of the district’s development.
At this workshop, the district discussed the ‘Management Plan for Revitalizing Waterfront Spaces’ with the Resident Participation Group, aimed at restoring the ecological stream of Bongcheoncheon and creating a refined waterfront living and cultural space.
Starting with sharing the ‘Future Vision of Bongcheoncheon’ presented at the first workshop in the first half of the year, the group reviewed the case of Byeolbitnaerimcheon, which has been restored as an ecological stream, and collectively envisioned the desired appearance of Bongcheoncheon by residents.
In particular, this year, the district has added 14 professionals from various fields (▲urban planning ▲architecture ▲civil engineering ▲culture ▲welfare ▲marketing, etc.) to the Resident Participation Group, expecting to gather substantial resident opinions for establishing a solid urban management plan.
