Seocho Big Data Platform Enhancement Improves Resident Convenience... Adds Commercial Area Analysis and Job Map
Containing Administrative Information Data of Over 480 Types in 11 Fields
"More Public Data to Be Opened in the Future"
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 15th that it will further advance and operate the ‘Seocho Big Data Platform’ so that residents can check various information related to urban conditions such as traffic and disasters, as well as district administration operations, in real time.
The ‘Seocho Big Data Platform,’ established in October last year, currently provides information in 11 fields with over 480 types of data. Through this platform, residents can obtain vivid information necessary for daily life, ranging from real-time disaster safety, traffic, and air quality situations to population, health, and welfare.
This year, the platform added a ‘Commercial Area Analysis’ tab where users can check the analysis results of local commercial districts, and a ‘Job Map’ to obtain employment information.
The ‘Commercial Area Analysis’ offers a search function for commercial areas based on conditions such as business type, rent, and store area, and also allows the generation of commercial area analysis reports according to business categories and types. Residents can use this to understand local economic trends and obtain useful information when starting a business or changing industries.
The ‘Job Map’ is a map-based job provision service. It displays the current job openings by district, including the number of recruiting companies and job seekers, making it easy for residents preparing for job hunting or reemployment to grasp the information. It also provides analysis results such as income by related industries, job trends, and average and median income by age group for each job.
Additionally, the ‘Seocho at a Glance’ map added a night-time hospital and pharmacy menu to help residents find necessary medical facilities even during late hours, and improved the real-time urban status icon images to enhance visual convenience.
Since the full-scale launch of the Seocho Big Data Platform service, the district office has been striving to collect and manage new information. User feedback is also actively reflected to continuously improve the platform.
