On the 12th, Kim Najung (32), a former announcer turned model who stirred controversy by posting on Instagram that she was confessing to drug use while staying in the Philippines, was reportedly questioned by airport police immediately after returning to Korea.
On the 14th, Chosun Ilbo quoted the police as saying, "Kim Najung was questioned for about two hours by the Incheon International Airport Police Unit right after returning from Manila, Philippines to Incheon International Airport on the 12th, and then she was sent home."
A police official told Chosun Ilbo, "We took a statement from Kim Najung to verify the facts related to the post she made on social media," adding, "She has not been formally booked on drug use charges; the investigation was conducted at the preliminary inquiry stage." Regarding whether a simple drug test was conducted, the official responded, "We cannot confirm that."

She later shared text messages exchanged with the embassy's official number, requesting, "Please call the embassy for me." Kim Najung urgently requested, saying, "I want to go to Korea. I feel like I will die if I board the plane," and "If I leave Manila, I will die. The airport is dangerous," but she did not provide any explanation about the circumstances, raising concerns.
