"If You Don't Pay, We'll Come to You"... Ulsan Waterworks Headquarters Collects 530 Million Won in Overdue Fees
Operation of Special Settlement Period for Overdue Charges in the Second Half of September-October
The Ulsan City Waterworks Headquarters set a special settlement period and achieved a solid result by collecting about 530 million won out of the 775 million won in unpaid water bills.
The Waterworks Headquarters announced on the 14th that during the 'Second Half Delinquent Fee Special Settlement Period' operated from September to October, they succeeded in collecting 530 million won in delinquent fees.
As of the end of August this year, the unpaid water bills in Ulsan amounted to 775 million won. The main reasons for delinquency were simple non-payment such as tax delinquency amounting to 346 million won, and delinquency due to business downturns amounting to 429 million won.
The headquarters conducted collection activities by directly visiting 324 high-amount delinquent payers owing more than 500,000 won and 4,147 habitual delinquent payers overdue for more than three months, including measures such as water supply suspension and seizure of real estate and vehicles.
As a result, they collected 530 million won, contributing to securing finances for the special account of the waterworks business.
