Two Shinradae Entrusted Organizations Selected as Outstanding Institutions at the 'Youth Welfare Facility Performance Report Competition'
Shilla University (President Heo Nam-sik) announced on the 13th that its entrusted organizations, Busan City Boys' Short-Term Youth Shelter and Busan City Temporary Youth Shelter (Fixed Type), received the Chairman's Commendation from the Korea Youth Counseling & Welfare Institute at the ‘2024 Youth Welfare Facility Performance Report Conference’.
The ‘Youth Welfare Facility Performance Report Conference,’ hosted by the Korea Youth Counseling & Welfare Institute, is held annually to boost morale by awarding commendations to youth welfare facilities and workers dedicated to youth protection and support, and to share information by discovering excellent cases, programs, and promotional content.
At the ‘2024 Youth Welfare Facility Performance Report Conference’ held on the 8th at Ferrum Tower in Seoul, Busan City Boys' Short-Term Youth Shelter was selected as an ‘Outstanding Institution for Utilizing the Youth Safety Net System,’ and Busan City Temporary Youth Shelter (Fixed Type) was selected for ‘Excellent Promotional Content (Institution),’ with both organizations honored with the Chairman's Commendation from the Korea Youth Counseling & Welfare Institute.
The short-form video introducing the internal facilities and operational methods of Busan City Temporary Youth Shelter, as well as the various services and support programs provided to out-of-home youth, created with the participation of Shilla University Department of Social Welfare interns, accurately conveyed the role, importance, and significance of the temporary youth shelter, earning it the ‘Excellent Promotional Content’ award.
On this day, both organizations received commendations, proving their pioneering role in effectively conveying the importance of the effective use of the Youth Safety Net System and the practical roles and significance of youth shelters.
Jo Min-seo, a student from Shilla University’s Department of Social Welfare who participated in producing the short-form video, said, “I am glad that we could effectively convey the importance of the temporary youth shelter through the short-form video,” adding, “I hope the video we made reaches many people and raises interest in youth welfare.”
Lee Hye-young, director of Busan City Temporary Youth Shelter, said, “This short-form video production was a great opportunity for social welfare students doing their internships to gain field experience and develop expertise,” and added, “I hope this video, created with the students, effectively improves the positive perception of youth shelters and conveys their practical roles and significance. We will continue to strive to enhance youth welfare.”
