On the 13th, Kiwoom Securities evaluated Cosmax by stating, "The domestic corporation is expected to lead growth for the time being," and added, "Although overseas performance is disappointing, the continued trend of increasing orders from domestic and export-oriented indie beauty clients is positive."
Cosmax's consolidated sales for the third quarter amounted to 529.8 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 43.4 billion KRW, meeting market expectations. The domestic corporation drove the growth.
Domestic: The domestic corporation recorded sales of 347.8 billion KRW and an operating profit of 39.5 billion KRW. This was due to increased demand for cost-effective products and indie beauty.
Sales of the China corporation were 114.4 billion KRW, attributed to an unfavorable business environment. The Shanghai corporation posted sales of 72.0 billion KRW, affected by a decline in orders due to sluggish online clients. The Guangzhou corporation recorded sales of 32.5 billion KRW. Although sales of the separate Guangzhou corporation decreased, sales increased as Itssen transferred production volume to the JV factory.
The Southeast Asia corporation recorded sales of 43.4 billion KRW, driven by increased orders from global and local clients. The Indonesia corporation posted sales of 32.3 billion KRW, boosted by large project orders. The Thailand corporation recorded sales of 11.1 billion KRW. While local demand remained steady, sales increased due to rising demand from neighboring countries (Vietnam, Cambodia).
